Starter batteries
From modern flooded batteries for cars, developments like EFB and AGM batteries for start-stop vehicles and vehicles with many consumers, to SHD versions for trucks, and special formats for classic cars or US vehicles – starter batteries are primarily designed to activate the starter motor. During operation, however, they also cover peak loads that are not directly supplied by the alternator, unless the vehicle has a separate backup battery to support the starter battery.
